It emerged in China and India, around 3,000 BC, but in 1922 it began as a sports discipline. It consists of giving dry blows made with the edge of the hand, elbows or feet with the sole objective of knocking down the opponent. This sport is also often practiced as a personal defense or combat sport.
In combat, the objective is to beat the opponent according to a set scoring system and using specific techniques.
