The appropriate place to practice this sport can be the sea, river, lake or a lagoon because they have other specifications that, in a way, are not so important in a pool as it does not have a standard of density or temperature of the water, nature of the wind or the force of the waves.
It was taken into account since the first modern Olympic Games, but it was in the 2016 jousts in Rio when it became an independent specialty and taken as a sport due to the boom it acquired during those years.
