Taekwondo is of Korean origin and combines techniques from various disciplines such as kung fu and karate-do. It is a sport where athletes learn and implement fast and precise physical skills for the fight, using the feet, arms and fists.
Throughout their career, taekwondogas develop skills that allow them to acquire degrees that are reflected in the color of the belts they wear, such as white, yellow, orange, green, blue, red and black, which is the highest degree. ; subsequently the positions can go up to the 9th DAN, which is the highest rating.
Taekwondo became the Olympic sport in Sydney 2000.
